When a custom build makes sense

Some businesses don't fit neatly into Shopify or WordPress. A property portal needs owners, agents and builders to post listings that get checked before they go live. A saree wholesaler sells in colour sets with a minimum order, and wants buyers to book a video call to see the stock. A corporate gifting company gets most of its business from bulk quotes, not the cart.

For projects like these, building exactly what's needed is often simpler, and faster for visitors, than bending a platform into shape with plugins.

Keeping custom builds easy to live with

Custom doesn't have to mean fragile. I use well-known tools like PHP, MySQL, JavaScript and Tailwind CSS, and write code that another developer could pick up and understand.

You get the source code and access to your hosting. You're never tied to me.

Common questions

Is a custom website more expensive than Shopify or WordPress?

Upfront, usually yes, because everything is built for you. But there are no platform fees or paid plugins, and you're not paying for features you don't use. If a platform would do the job for less, I'll tell you.

Can you build an admin panel for my team?

Yes. Most of my custom builds come with one, so your team can add products, approve listings or manage orders without touching code.

Will Google be able to index a custom site?

Yes. I build pages as real HTML with proper titles, descriptions, headings and a sitemap, the same groundwork I'd do on any platform.
