Domain, hosting and SSL setup
I handle the technical side of getting online: your domain, hosting, DNS, SSL and business email, so your website and inbox simply work.
Why this matters
This is often the part that holds a launch back. The website is ready, but nobody remembers where the domain was bought, the DNS records are a mystery, or emails from the contact form land in spam.
I sort all of that out, explain what I did in plain language, and leave you with the logins to everything.
What I can set up
- Choosing and registering a domain, or transferring one you already own
- Hosting on Hostinger, cPanel servers or cloud hosting, sized for your traffic
- DNS records: A, CNAME, MX, TXT, SPF, DKIM and DMARC
- SSL certificates, with HTTPS forced across the whole site
- Business email on Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or your host's mail
- Connecting your domain to Shopify, Wix or another platform
- Google Search Console and Analytics verification
- Automatic backups and basic security hardening
How it works
- Check what you haveWhere the domain is registered, where the site is hosted, and which records already exist. Nothing gets deleted at this stage.
- Plan the changesYou get a short list of what I'll change and why, in plain words.
- Set up and testI make the changes, then test the website, SSL, contact forms and email delivery.
- Hand overA one-page summary of your setup and logins, so you or any future developer can find everything.
What you'll have at the end
A short document listing where your domain is registered, where the site is hosted, which DNS records exist and what each one does, and where your backups are kept.
If you ever change developers, everything they need is in one place.
Common questions
My contact form emails go to spam. Can you fix that?
Usually, yes. The cause is normally missing SPF, DKIM or DMARC records, or a form sending from an address that doesn't belong to your domain. I fix the records and test until messages land in the inbox.
Do I have to buy hosting through you?
No. Your domain and hosting are always in your name and on your account. I set them up and manage them with your permission, but you own them.
Which hosting do you recommend?
It depends on the site. For most small business websites, a good shared or cloud plan is plenty. Busy stores may need more. I'll suggest something that fits your traffic and budget.
How do we get started?
Send me your domain name and a line about what isn't working, or what you want to set up. I reply within 4 hours.
